About
AXIS Project
Character rigs, animation tools, and a production workflow built for Blender.
About AXIS Project
AXIS Project is the brand under which I create character rigs, animation tools, and production-ready assets for Blender.
What started as individual character work gradually evolved into something more structured: a shared rig logic, a clearer toolset, and a growing ecosystem where models, controls, documentation, and workflow all belong to the same system.
I build AXIS with a simple goal in mind: to make assets that are not only visually strong, but also practical to use in real production.
The person behind AXIS
I'm Antonio, a 3D artist and tool creator focused on characters, rigging, and Blender-based workflows.
My work sits between art and usability. I care about anatomy, presentation, and realism, but I also care about what happens after the first render: posing, animation, control, organization, export, and long-term consistency across products.
That balance is what shaped AXIS Project.
Why AXIS exists
Many 3D assets look good in previews but feel disconnected once you start working with them.
AXIS was built as an answer to that. Instead of treating each model as a separate product with its own rules, I wanted a more coherent system: one rig language, one control philosophy, one direction for documentation, and one ecosystem that grows with intention.
The AXIS ecosystem
AXIS is not just a model library. It includes:
- Character rigs built for Blender
- AXIS Panel for rig control inside the N-panel
- AXIS Core for retargeting and animation workflow
- A shared rig foundation across all product lines
The purpose is consistency. Moving from one AXIS product to another should feel familiar, predictable, and efficient.
VERSA and OMNIA
AXIS currently includes two main rig lines.
VERSA is the current line and the long-term direction of the project. It is designed as a Blender-first system with clean structure, strong presentation, and flexibility for different pipelines.
OMNIA is the original line that helped define the AXIS ecosystem. It remains fully supported, but no new models will be added to it. It is part of the foundation the project was built on.
Product philosophy
I don't aim to make assets that only look impressive in a store preview. I aim to make products that feel solid once they are in your scene.
That means focusing on:
- Clean and reliable structure
- Clear rig controls
- Practical workflows
- Documentation that actually helps
- Products designed as part of a bigger system, not as isolated releases
I value consistency over noise, and usability over gimmicks.
Built for Blender users who want more than just a model
AXIS Project is made for artists who want assets they can actually work with. Whether the goal is posing, animation, look development, presentation, or production, the focus stays the same: strong visual quality, clean control, and a workflow that makes sense.
AXIS Project is the result of combining character work, rig logic, and tool design into one evolving system for Blender.
